Love
For the love Ja’Dei gave and the love that will always surround her memory.
🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY 🕊️
A cherished eight-year-old member of the Erin H. Gilmour School family
🤍 🌈 🐇 🦋 🧸 ⭐ 🌸
Today, we gathered to say goodbye to our precious Ja’Dei. Her service was beautiful—a loving reflection of the joy she brought into our lives and the many hearts she touched in her eight precious years.
To Ja’Dei’s mother, father, and family: thank you for allowing us to know and love her. We know that the beauty of today’s service cannot take away the pain of going home without her. Please know that you do not have to carry that pain alone. Your Erin Gilmour family will continue to hold you close in our thoughts and prayers.
We will remember Ja’Dei’s laughter, her love of rabbits, and the light she brought to our school. We will speak her name with love, and we will keep her memory with us in the days ahead.
May God give you comfort when the days feel especially heavy, strength for each new morning, and the assurance that Ja’Dei was deeply loved. She always will be.
With love and heartfelt sympathy,
Kevin E. Cartwright
Principal, on behalf of the Erin H. Gilmour School family
Whenever you return to this page—whether it is tomorrow, months from now, or many years from now—we hope you find something here that reminds you of just how deeply Ja’Dei was loved.
This memorial will remain a place where her name is spoken, her smile is remembered, her memories are treasured, and the eight precious years of her life are honoured.
To Ja’Dei’s mother, father, and family: you will always have a place among the Erin Gilmour family.
And Ja’Dei will always have a place here too.
She was here. She was loved. She mattered. And she will be remembered.

Forever remembered with love
Each flower in this garden honours one precious year of Ja’Dei’s life and one beautiful gift her memory leaves within the hearts of her family, classmates, teachers and school community.
For the love Ja’Dei gave and the love that will always surround her memory.
For the happiness and brightness a precious child brought into the world.
For Ja’Dei’s quiet strength through every challenge and every new day.
For the gentle moments that made others feel welcomed, valued and loved.
For childhood curiosity, discovery and the beauty found in simple things.
For the hope that carries grieving hearts toward comfort, peace and healing.
For classmates, teachers and friends who will continue speaking Ja’Dei’s name with love.
For eight precious years that will remain forever woven into our school family.
Eight flowers. Eight precious years. One beautiful life—forever loved, forever missed and forever remembered.
Forever eight. Forever loved. Forever part of our family.
Here, every remembered smile, treasured moment and loving story becomes a flower that will continue blooming for Ja’Dei.
Memories are the flowers that love leaves behind.
In this garden, we will continue sharing the precious moments that made Ja’Dei so deeply loved—the sound of her laughter, the things that brought her happiness, the courage she showed and the gentle ways she touched our lives.
With every approved memory shared, another flower blooms. In this way, Ja’Dei’s story will continue to grow within the hearts of her family, classmates, teachers, caregivers and the entire Erin Gilmour family.
Sweet Ja’Dei, your place among us can never be filled, and your memory will never be forgotten. As long as we speak your name and share your story, your beautiful light will continue to shine.
Each flower below holds a memory that has been reviewed and lovingly added to Ja’Dei’s garden.
Loading Ja’Dei’s memory flowers.
May every flower planted here keep Ja’Dei’s laughter close, her light shining and her beautiful memory forever growing in the hearts of all who loved her.

Eight precious years, a beautiful light,
A smile like the morning, gentle and bright.
You filled our classrooms with memories sweet,
And left little footprints that time can't delete.
Though we cannot see you walking our way,
Love keeps you near us, day after day.
Every lesson, every smile,
Every moment stays awhile.
Though our hearts are hurting too,
We will always remember you.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we miss you,
More than words could ever say.
Our little star is shining
In a place so far away.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we love you,
You will never be alone.
Forever in our school family,
Forever in our hearts and home.
Your chair may be empty, your voice may be still,
But love for you lives here and always will.
Your classmates remember the moments you shared,
Your teachers remember how deeply they cared.
The wise owls are watching the bright evening sky,
Searching for your little star shining on high.
Every rainbow, every flower,
Whispers of your precious hours.
Every butterfly we see
Brings your loving memory.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we miss you,
More than words could ever say.
Our little star is shining
In a place so far away.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we love you,
You will never be alone.
Forever in our school family,
Forever in our hearts and home.
To the family who loved you from your very first day,
May God give you strength as you travel this way.
May beautiful memories bring comfort and peace,
And may all of your love for Ja’Dei never cease.
We stand close beside you in sorrow and prayer,
Reminding your hearts that you're held in our care.
Fly gently, little butterfly,
Beyond the clouds, beyond the sky.
Run through fields where flowers grow,
Wrapped in love you'll always know.
Dance among the stars above,
Safe within God's arms of love.
Though goodbye is hard to say,
You live inside our hearts each day.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we miss you,
More than words could ever say.
Our little star is shining
And guiding us along the way.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we love you,
Your memory will carry on.
Forever in our school family,
Your precious light will never be gone.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we miss you,
But love will keep you near.
Within our sweetest memories,
Your laughter still is clear.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei, we love you,
Like a rainbow after rain.
Until the day we meet again,
We'll softly speak your name.
Ja’Dei, our butterfly,
Ja’Dei, our shining star,
Where Wise Owls Soar, we'll remember you—
Forever, wherever you are.
We miss you.
We love you.
Goodbye, Ja’Dei.

Morning comes so quietly,
But something is not the same.
We gather for devotion,
And gently speak your name.
The halls still hold your memory,
The rooms remember too;
Every tender moment there
Still leads our hearts to you.
We thought we had more time,
More days to laugh and share;
Now love must cross the silence
To find you resting there.
The garden still remembers you,
Each flower bends your way.
Little rabbits rest among the blooms
As though they wait to play.
And though our arms cannot hold you,
Our love will never leave—
The garden still remembers you,
Sweet Ja’Dei, while we grieve.
You were more than words and lessons,
More than schedules through the day;
You were someone deeply treasured
In your own precious way.
Through music, Braille, and learning,
Through every joy and care,
You became a part of all of us—
Your spirit lingers there.
Eight years were far too few,
Yet your life gave so much more;
A quiet kind of beauty
That time cannot restore.
The garden still remembers you,
Each flower bends your way.
Little rabbits rest among the blooms
As though they wait to play.
And though our arms cannot hold you,
Our love will never leave—
The garden still remembers you,
Sweet Ja’Dei, while we grieve.
There is sorrow in your classroom;
There are tears we cannot hide.
But your family will not walk alone—
We are standing by their side.
For every heart that knew you
Now carries something true:
A deeper understanding
Of the gift we found in you.
If love could build a pathway,
We would follow where it led.
If tears could form a river,
It would reach your garden bed.
If one more day were given,
We would hold you close and say,
“You changed our lives by being here—
We love you, our Ja’Dei.”
But heaven does not answer
Every question that we bring;
So we trust that God is holding you
Beneath His sheltering wing.
Where pain can never find you,
Where gentle breezes blow,
May you run beside the rabbits
Where eternal flowers grow.
The garden will remember you
When seasons come and go.
Through sunshine and through rainfall,
Your precious love will grow.
Though goodbye has left us broken,
Hope whispers through our pain:
The God who welcomed you home
Will help us meet again.
Yes, the garden still remembers you;
Your love remains in bloom.
And every life you touched will keep
A sacred place for you.
You were ours for just a moment,
But our hearts are yours always—
The garden will remember you
For all our coming days.
Rest gently, little Ja’Dei,
Where heaven’s flowers grow.
Among the peaceful rabbits
And the love you always knew.
The Erin H. Gilmour family
Will hold your memory near.
Forever loved.
Forever missed.
Forever precious here.

Spread your tiny little wings and fly,
Beyond the clouds, beyond the sky.
Leave every pain and fear behind;
Only peace and love you’ll find.
Though we wish you could have stayed,
Heaven gently called your name.
Now a brighter star appears—
Shining through our falling tears.
Our hearts still search for you,
In every room and sound;
But when the world grows quiet,
Your memory wraps around us.
You’re with the angels now,
Safe in the arms of God.
Dancing where the flowers bloom,
On heaven’s golden ground.
You’re with the angels now,
Where little children play;
And though we cannot hold you,
Our love will find its way.
Sweet Ja’Dei, rest peacefully—
You’re with the angels now.
Through every smile and lesson,
You touched our lives each day.
Your gentle presence filled our school
In your own special way.
Your teachers still remember;
Your classmates miss you too.
The halls may feel much quieter,
But they’re filled with thoughts of you.
Every lesson that we shared,
Every tender moment there,
Lives forever in our hearts—
Love will keep us close, though we’re apart.
You’re with the angels now,
Safe in the arms of God.
Dancing where the flowers bloom,
On heaven’s golden ground.
You’re with the angels now,
Where little children play;
And though we cannot hold you,
Our love will find its way.
Sweet Ja’Dei, rest peacefully—
You’re with the angels now.
Perhaps there is a garden
Where gentle rabbits run,
Where butterflies have painted wings
That sparkle in the sun.
Perhaps you pick the flowers
And laugh beneath the trees,
While angels sing beside you
On a soft and peaceful breeze.
Eight precious years—
Eight flowers bloom.
Eight lights of love
Dispel the gloom.
One for your smile,
One for your grace,
One for the joy
That filled every space.
One for your courage,
One for your light,
One for the memories
We hold every night.
One for the love
That will never end,
And one for the day
When we meet again.
You’re with the angels now,
Safe in the arms of God.
Resting where no sorrow comes
And every tear is gone.
You’re with the angels now,
Yet still you’re somehow near;
Your memory gently comforts us
Whenever you appear—
In every flower, every song,
And every whispered prayer.
You’re with the angels now,
Safe in the arms of God.
Dancing where the flowers bloom,
On heaven’s golden ground.
You’re with the angels now,
Where little children play;
And though our hearts are broken,
Your love will always stay.
Sweet Ja’Dei, rest peacefully—
You’re with the angels now.
Spread your tiny little wings and fly,
Beyond the clouds, beyond the sky.
Our precious butterfly, take flight;
God will hold you through the night.
Forever loved, forever missed,
Forever in our hearts somehow.
Rest gently, our sweet Ja’Dei—
You’re with the angels now.

No more pain,
No more sorrow;
All your troubles are gone.
The little children in heaven
Have welcomed you home.
You can play,
You can run;
Your work down here is done.
Now you laugh among the angels
In the warmth of heaven’s sun.
Though our hearts are filled with sadness,
And our tears continue to fall,
We believe that God is holding you
In the safest arms of all.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Heaven is now home.
Dance among the flowers
Where you’ll never be alone.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Run beneath the sun.
No more pain can touch you—
Your earthly work is done.
Though we cannot see you,
Love keeps you close each day.
Heaven is now home, sweet Ja’Dei—
So laugh and run and play.
Here at school, we still remember
Every moment that you shared—
Your gentle smile, your quiet spirit,
And the special way you cared.
There is silence in the places
Where your precious voice was known,
But your memory fills each classroom;
In our hearts, you still live on.
Every teacher who once held your hand,
Every friend who spoke your name,
Will carry something beautiful
That time cannot reclaim.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Heaven is now home.
Dance among the flowers
Where you’ll never be alone.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Run beneath the sun.
No more pain can touch you—
Your earthly work is done.
Though we cannot see you,
Love keeps you close each day.
Heaven is now home, sweet Ja’Dei—
So laugh and run and play.
Perhaps the rabbits gather
In a garden bright and fair,
While butterflies with painted wings
Come dancing through the air.
Perhaps eight flowers blossom
Beside a golden stream—
One for every precious year
You blessed our earthly scene.
Run where every road is peaceful;
Laugh where every sky is blue.
Play where little angels gather,
Waiting there to welcome you.
Rest where sickness cannot follow,
Where no sorrow can remain.
God has wiped away your teardrops;
You will never hurt again.
And when the morning light surrounds us,
When the flowers softly sway,
We will feel your love beside us
And remember you each day.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Heaven is now home.
Rest within God’s garden,
Where you’ll never be alone.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei;
Your little spirit’s free.
Until the day God calls us home,
Live on in memory.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Heaven is now home.
Dance among the flowers
Where you’ll never be alone.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei,
Run beneath the sun.
No more pain can touch you—
Your earthly work is done.
Though our hearts are broken,
Your love will light our way.
Heaven is now home, sweet Ja’Dei—
So laugh and run and play.
No more pain,
No more sorrow;
Every earthly tear is gone.
Sleep in peace, our precious Ja’Dei,
Safe in heaven’s arms.
Laugh and play,
Laugh and run,
Beneath God’s shining sun.
Forever loved,
Forever missed—
Your heavenly life has begun.
Heaven is now home, sweet Ja’Dei.
Laugh and run and play.

Eight precious years, a beautiful light,
A smile that made our darkest moments bright.
You came into our lives so gentle and small,
Yet somehow your love reached the hearts of us all.
Your laughter still echoes wherever we go;
Your memory lives in the love that we show.
Though time with you passed like a soft summer breeze,
You planted your love in our memories.
And when we look toward heaven,
Through the tears that fill our eyes,
We see eight flowers blooming
In a garden in the sky.
Eight precious years, sweet Ja’Dei,
Eight precious years of love.
Now you’re dancing with the angels
In your peaceful home above.
Eight precious years, sweet Ja’Dei,
Too beautiful to disappear.
Though heaven holds you in its arms,
We’ll always feel you near.
Eight precious years—
Forever treasured here.
Your chair may be empty, your footsteps now still,
But love leaves a presence that time never will.
In every kind lesson, in each gentle prayer,
In every small moment, we know you are there.
You taught us that life is not measured in days,
But by all of the hearts that one beautiful soul changes.
And though we are grieving because you are gone,
The love that you gave us will keep living on.
So when the morning sunlight
Touches flowers wet with dew,
We’ll remember every blessing
God allowed us to share with you.
Eight precious years, sweet Ja’Dei,
Eight precious years of love.
Now you’re dancing with the angels
In your peaceful home above.
Eight precious years, sweet Ja’Dei,
Too beautiful to disappear.
Though heaven holds you in its arms,
We’ll always feel you near.
Eight precious years—
Forever treasured here.
Eight flowers for eight precious years,
Eight memories shining through our tears.
One for your laughter, one for your smile,
One for each moment that made life worthwhile.
One for your courage, one for your grace,
One for the joy that shone from your face.
One for the love that will never depart,
And one that will bloom forever in our hearts.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei;
Run where heaven’s flowers grow.
You are safe within God’s garden,
Wrapped in love we’ll always know.
Laugh and play, sweet Ja’Dei;
You are free from every pain.
And when our earthly journey ends,
We know we’ll meet again.
Eight precious years, sweet Ja’Dei,
Eight precious years of light.
Now you’re shining with the angels
Like a star that warms the night.
Eight precious years, sweet Ja’Dei,
Your love will guide us through.
Every flower, song and memory
Will bring us close to you.
Eight precious years—
A gift from God above.
Eight precious years—
Forever held in love.
Sleep peacefully, sweet Ja’Dei;
Your little light still shines.
Eight precious years upon this earth—
Forever yours and mine.
Eight flowers bloom in heaven;
Eight flowers bloom down here.
And in the garden of our hearts,
You’ll blossom every year.
We love you, Ja’Dei. We will always remember your eight precious years.

You caught the train with angels this morning,
And you were so happy to get on board.
With open arms, the conductor lovingly greeted you;
Now eternal life is your reward.
The ride home was sweet,
Through the pearly gates you rode in the sky.
On to streets of gold you travelled,
Far beyond the human eye.
Every mile carried you closer
To a place where pain is gone;
Where the light of God surrounds you,
And His love goes on and on.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven,
Smiling as the angels call her name.
Riding through the clouds into God’s glory,
Free from every sorrow, hurt and pain.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven,
Where the flowers bloom and little children play.
Though our hearts are broken here without you,
Love will keep you close to us each day.
As the heavenly train continued onward,
You could hear the little angels sing.
Butterflies were dancing by the windows,
And the bells of heaven began to ring.
There were rabbits waiting in the garden,
Playing where the golden flowers grow.
You ran laughing through the fields to greet them,
In the home where endless blessings flow.
Every tear has now been lifted;
Every earthly care is through.
God has wrapped His arms around you,
And made everything brand new.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven,
Smiling as the angels call her name.
Riding through the clouds into God’s glory,
Free from every sorrow, hurt and pain.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven,
Where the flowers bloom and little children play.
Though our hearts are broken here without you,
Love will keep you close to us each day.
Here at school, your chair may now be empty,
But your memory fills every room.
In the hearts of friends and loving teachers,
Eight precious flowers will forever bloom.
We will speak your name with love and kindness;
We will cherish every smile you gave.
For the light you brought into our family
Is a light that time can never take away.
Laugh and run, sweet Ja’Dei,
Through the gardens of the Lord.
Dance beneath the shining stars
Where every joy has been restored.
Wave to us from heaven
When the morning sun appears;
Send a rainbow through the clouds
To bring us comfort through our tears.
And when we hear the distant thunder
Rolling softly through the sky,
We will imagine heaven’s railway
Carrying your laughter by.
Ride on, sweet Ja’Dei,
Ride on through the light.
Angels sit beside you,
Holding you so tight.
Ride on, sweet Ja’Dei;
Heaven is your home.
Safe within God’s loving arms,
You will never be alone.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven,
Smiling as the angels call her name.
Riding through the clouds into God’s glory,
Free from every sorrow, hurt and pain.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven,
Where the flowers bloom and little children play.
Though we cannot travel there beside you,
Our love is riding with you all the way.
Ja’Dei’s laughing all the way to heaven;
Listen—you can almost hear her say:
“Please don’t worry, God is here beside me.
I am safe, and I am home today.”
The train has reached its heavenly station;
The angels gently help you from your seat.
God is waiting there with arms wide open,
And golden flowers blossom at your feet.
Rest in peace, our precious Ja’Dei;
Your beautiful light will never end.
Until the train of life brings us together,
May God hold you safely, little friend.
Eight precious years,
One beautiful light,
Forever loved,
And forever shining bright.
Ja’Dei’s laughing,
All the way to heaven.
Safe in God’s eternal love tonight.
Ride on, sweet Ja’Dei,
Ride on through the light.
